The community land trust (CLT) project has progressed to the stage where there is a possible way forward for permanently affordable rented housing in Longhope.
A potential site is being investigated as described in the project update below, the necessary funding has been identified with the help of housing association partner the Aster Group, and a legal body established so that an eventual development can be managed by and for local people.
There is still a long way to go, but there will be an open public meeting to discuss the project as soon as Government restrictions allow. In the meantime, membership of Longhope CLT is open to anyone who lives or works in Longhope and would like to get more involved, please see the membership application form below.
You can also contact the project on LonghopeCLT@mail.com.
The object of the community land trust is to build new affordable housing to rent for people with close links to the parish. Please see below the latest Housing Needs Survey for Longhope parish.
